ISO/IEC 27001:2022 requires organizations to implement logging (A.8.15) and perform monitoring to detect anomalous behavior (A.8.16). Detected events must be reviewed (A.5.25) and addressed through formal incident response processes (A.5.26).

Article 21, paragraph 2: The measures referred to in paragraph 1 are based on an all-hazards approach aimed at protecting networks and systems, as well as their physical environment, against incidents, and shall include at least the following:
(a) policies on risk analysis and information security;
(b) incident handling;
(c) business continuity, such as disaster recovery and crisis management.

Articles 10 and 11 require financial institutions to continuously monitor for and detect anomalies, incidents, and cyberattacks, using layered controls and alerting. Furthermore, they must implement a robust ICT continuity and incident response framework.
