Why you need MDR.

Modern attackers move at lightning speed. In 2025, the average time between initial access and a full digital breach was just 29 minutes. That's less time than the length of an average meeting

With MDR, you ensure every minute counts for you, not against you. Our experts continuously detect, analyze, and respond, ensuring attackers never get those 29 minutes.

Your own SOC team, without building one

High-quality security monitoring without hiring extra staff, investing in training, or needing cybersecurity expertise.

Detection and response from start to finish

We not only detect cyber threats but also stop them. This way, we ensure the impact remains as minimal as possible.

Always prepared for cyber threats

Always a step ahead. Our MDR service ensures you are continuously protected against the latest attack techniques, even if tomorrow's cyber threats look different from today's.

What is Managed Detection & Response?

Managed Detection & Response, usually abbreviated as MDR, is outsourced security monitoring.
We monitor your network, laptops, servers, and user accounts, investigate suspicious activity, and intervene immediately.
The difference between this and standalone security tools lies in that last word: response. A tool provides an alert; MDR ensures that action is taken.

Detection: continuous monitoring of network and endpoints

We collect signals 24/7 from your entire environment: endpoints such as laptops, PCs, and servers, your network traffic, and your Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environment. Threat detection only works if you see everything, because a blind spot in your monitoring is exactly where an attacker will hide.

Analysis: human analysts assess every alert

Automatic detection generates many alerts, and not everything is a genuine threat. Our analysts separate the noise from the risk, so you only hear about what truly matters. That human judgment is the difference between a dashboard full of red flags and a security team that knows exactly what is going on.

Response: immediate intervention in the event of a threat

When a real threat occurs, we take action: isolating a laptop with malware, blocking accounts, revoking sessions, and more. Afterward, we investigate how it happened and what is needed to prevent a recurrence. Every MDR client receives an incident response playbook in advance, ensuring everyone knows exactly who does what and when.
From onboarding to immediate response in four steps

How does MDR work at Peakproteqt?

We handle everything from A to Z. No complex installations or months of configuration. Your business fully protected within days.

01

Intake and onboarding of your environment

We inventory your IT environment, connect sensors to your network and endpoints, and establish a baseline to detect anomalies.

02

Security monitoring by our SOC team

From day one, our analysts continuously monitor your environment, ensuring we are ready to intervene immediately whenever necessary.

03

Triage and escalation of suspicious activity

Every alert is assessed for severity and context. False positives are filtered out, and genuine threats are immediately escalated as incidents.

04

Immediate response and reporting

In the event of an incident, we intervene and notify you. Afterward, you receive a full report detailing what happened, what actions we took, and how we will prevent a recurrence.

What does MDR detect?

Our MDR service monitors behavior and anomalies, not just known threats. Cyber threats evolve every day, and our MDR service adapts accordingly.

Ransomware and malware

We identify file encryption, suspicious processes, and known malware on workstations and servers. The sooner these are stopped, the smaller the impact on your digital business environment.

Suspicious login attempts

Stolen credentials are the most common entry point. We detect suspicious login attempts, session hijacking, and account takeovers, and monitor the dark web for company accounts that have appeared in data breaches.

Unusual network traffic

Connections to known malicious infrastructure, data being exfiltrated at odd hours, or traffic that doesn't match a system's normal behavior. This is often the first sign that a hacker is already inside.

Extra: vulnerabilities and misconfigurations

Detection is one side of the coin; reducing your attack surface is the other. We continuously scan for vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in workstations, servers, Microsoft 365, and Azure, leaving hackers with less to exploit.

Why human follow-up makes the difference

Tools send alerts, people make decisions. We use our tools as smartly and efficiently as possible to detect cyber threats amidst the noise.
With us, there will always be a human analyst on top of things. This ensures we stay engaged with what is happening and can make the right choices at the right moments.

Who is MDR for?

MDR provides an extra layer of security that can add value to any business.
However, MDR is particularly relevant for the organizations listed below.

SMEs without an in-house security team

We are here for SMEs that understand the importance of stopping cyber threats but lack the people, time, or expertise to do it themselves. MDR Essentials is for companies with fewer than 15 employees, and for larger SME organizations, we offer MDR Premium.

Organizations subject to NIS2

The Cyber Security Act, the Dutch implementation of the European NIS2 directive, will come into effect on August 15, 2026, and will impact more than 8,000 organizations. From that date, a duty of care, a reporting obligation, and a registration requirement with the NCSC will apply. Continuous monitoring and demonstrable incident response are exactly the components that MDR provides.

IT service providers looking to offer MDR

We are here for the IT service provider/MSP that wants to grow in security but is held back by internal capacity. We do the heavy lifting in the background, while you maintain the client relationship and expand your service offering without having to build your own SOC.
